Class with Laura

In class together we inquire, "What is happening right now inside me?"

We aren’t just stretching our bodies—we're understanding how our minds and bodies work together as a complete, harmonious system.

I teach Aligned Hatha Flow (Levels 1, 1/2 and 2), Core Centered and Restorative Yoga Classes. Below are descriptions of each.

Aligned Hatha Flow Yoga (Level 1, 1/2 and 2)

In these classes we learn to create long lines of energy by recognizing the relationships that already exist within our own bodies.

From where are in this moment, we feel our foundation. From this safe and stable place, we play with opening and receiving more… more breath, love, acceptance and awareness of our internal landscape.

We explore sun salutations, hip openers, back bends, balance poses and gentle inversions with attention to our body's natural alignment and awareness of how we feel in our bodies.

Each class is thoughtfully sequenced to support you in easing into lengthening and opening, experiencing yourself through the poses fully and safely. The yoga is practical and is geared toward addressing modern issues like releasing neck pain from computer usage and neutralizing the stress of a hectically paced day.

Core Centered Yoga

Feel strong, relaxed and energized all at the same time, It all starts with waking up your core. Throughout this evenly paced class, we'll explore activating our abdominal muscles and feel them guide us through through a well-rounded yoga practice. We will also experience how breathing fully makes everything easier!

Sequences are designed to meet the needs of the average person with lower back, neck & shoulder aches from the modern every day world. With a regular practice of yoga, many of these issues can be alleviated. In addition, one can expect to develop strength and flexibility throughout the entire body.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga offers healing for the body and the mind. Suitable for students of all levels, it is one of the best antidotes to stress, anxiety, fatigue, depression, injury, and the general fast pace of life. This practice, often utilizing props in supported poses, activates the body’s parasympathetic nervous system, inviting deep relaxation.

A regular practice of restorative yoga strengthens the immune system and reverses the effects of chronic stress. Restorative yoga is one of the primary practices used to restore calm and harmony to our lives.
