Laura Singer is an RYT-500, certified yoga teacher with 11 years experience teaching yoga and facilitating partnered movement. She is also a senior fitness, aerial dance fitness and barre instructor. A nurturing person by nature, she always feels lit up offering opportunities for people to experience wonder within themselves and in their communities. After having taught movement for so many years, she finds herself wanting to join the participant on a co-creative journey to discover and then encourage the co-creator’s internal wisdom.
Laura is inspired facilitating and being part of partnered practices because working or playing with someone else gives both participants constant feedback in their minds and bodies, just to stay connected and present, and this keeps us alert!
Experiencing this within herself, healing from old traumas and experiencing more fulfillment in life than ever before was the catalyst behind her creating one-on-one “Feel More Ease” sessions. Drawing from yoga, partnered movement, reiki, trust exercises, and/or empowering movement games, each session is unique, and intended for the client to be acknowledged and nurtured for where she is in this moment. From here, the conditions are set for her to naturally begin to embody the physical and mental ease that is available underneath excess tension and fear.
Laura has completed 500 hours of yoga training through YogaWorks, hundreds of hours of yoga, dance, intuitive movement and personal development trainings throughout the U.S., Partner Dance certification through The Hollywood Dance Center, Aerial Dance & Fitness Certification through The Aerial Studio, Senior Fitness and cardio dance training through Swerve Studio, Reiki training with the Usui method, and has spent years teaching public classes throughout Los Angeles and Ventura.
In 2011, she created “The Beginner’s Salsa Series,” a four-week series focusing on partner connection to music, leading into a basic salsa routine. She has also danced with Agape’s “Movement of Agape” in Los Angeles.
After living in New York, Seattle and Los Angeles, she is happy to have put down roots in Ventura, CA. Here, she offers select public and private classes in yoga, chair yoga, senior fitness, barre, and beginning aerial dance fitness. In addition, she can regularly be found facilitating nurturing co-creative experiences.
